HQ Tech Tank – Mobility

About this Event
The advent of rising computational power and connectivity, renewable energy, data structures, and new forms of human-machine interaction, will affect every industry worldwide, change the way we do business, and impact how we conduct our everyday lives.

One of the most significant problems that humans are facing today is the age-old, simple yet fundamental need for Mobility.

We’re kicking off the HQ Tech Tank series by diving deep into the latest advancements in power storage, shared economy models, AI, and connectivity in Mobility to envision how people will get from point A to B in a faster, cheaper, and more environmentally sustainable manner.

Our Panel:
Dr Alexia Maddox – is a technology sociologist whose work focuses on the socio-cultural aspects of disruptive tech such as AI, data, automation, and smart technologies. Alexia has an established publication track record in these areas and uses her consultancy practice to support industry engagement with emerging technologies.
Ash Hunter – is the CEO of Just Auto Media and the Executive Chairman of HunterFive Investment. He is a serial entrepreneur with a track record in leveraging emerging technologies to enhance the trade of Automotive vehicles and modernise the industry through his companies and investments. His insight into the mobility industry and experience in leveraging emerging technologies will provide a unique perspective on the future of mobility.
Freshta Mayar – is passionate about fintechs and digital disruptors, which has driven her to lead wholesale and institutional investors for a consumer finance marketplace. During her career, Freshta has worked in investment banking, capital markets and transactional banking, and is now leading originations opportunities for a Big Four bank.

Moderator:
The event will be moderated by HQ Tech Tank project lead Dr Husam Wafai. Husam combines his experience as an analytical researcher with a passion for entrepreneurship to design and manage startup programs, guide research, and mentor tech startups through their idea development and validation, market research, and business planning. With over 10 years of R&D, Husam delivered projects for large clients such as Airbus, Alcan, First Solar and Sabic, advised young startups in the fields of automotive, AR, AI, recruiting, mental health, and authored and co-authored more than a dozen scientific papers.
