On 10 May,  AACCI Victoria in collaboration with Global Victoria hosted a briefing session for Nassif Lawand and his team at the International Chamber House, as part of his biannual Lawand Trade roadshow across Australia.

This year the briefing sessions were held at the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne. In Melbourne, the event was attended by over 50 Victorian businesses including Mr Gerard Seeber, Victorian Commissioner to the MENA who opened the session with a welcome address.
Lawand Trade is an exporter of Australian products into the MENA & Asian markets. Lawand Trade is also an AACCI member. Lawand has created a unique business model with operations in a number of countries which include 15 offices across these markets and 52 partner clients/distributors. This impressive market penetration is supported by a team of dedicated merchandisers in each market.
In Australia, Lawand’s products are being sourced across the country. Once Lawand approves product/brand to be included in his range, following an extensive in market testing, this product will be available in 15 countries within 6–8 months.
Such approach provides a very attractive export market platform for new and emerging exporters with minimal risk and investment.
Following Lawand’s roadshow presentation AACCI attended the launch of the  new temperature controlled warehouse, which was formally opened by The Hon Jaclyn Symes, the Victorian Minister for Agriculture, Regional Development and Resources.
Lawand has now two fully operational warehouses in Westmeadows, Victoria (one ambient and another temperature-controlled), which supports just in time supply of products, across Lawand’s markets.
