This week, AACCI’s President and National Chairman Mr Roland Jabbour OAM was the honoured recipient of the Ambassador for Peace Award – UPF Oceania.
The prestigious award acknowledged Mr Jabbour’s distinguished leadership and longstanding service in peacebuilding, public service and international trade relations.
Secretary-General of Universal Peace Federation Oceania Mr Greg Stone presented the award during its Peace Talks webinar on the theme of “US-China Relations – Implications for Oceania Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity and Universally Shared Values”.
Mr Jabbour thanked UPF Oceania for the award and congratulated them on a timely webinar theme and an excellent programme which addressed and contextualised the various relevant developments and concerns on the theme in question.
The event hosted a panel of highly distinguished international speakers spanning four continents, which included key speaker Ambassador Christopher Hill, a former career diplomat and US Ambassador to Iraq, South Korea, Macedonia and Poland.
The Universal Peace Federation is an NGO dedicated to achieving world peace in general consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and supports the work of the United Nations, particularly in the areas of interfaith peace building, peace education, and the strengthening of human values and family.
