As reported in our last Market Update on Morocco in September 2011, this impressive North African country is on the verge of becoming a leading economy in the North Africa region. Numerous factors, ranging from relative political stability to a healthy economic growth rate, are all contributing to Morocco's respectable position amongst the tribe of nations.
Unlike other Arab countries that neighbor Morocco, there has only been minimal political upheaval at best. The current monarch of the country, Kind Mohammed VI, who succeeded his father to the throne in 1999, has been credited with improving human rights and the general wellbeing of this nation.
