Profitability level satisfactory for 90% of Lebanese SMEs
A comprehensive survey about small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Lebanon by information provider Bankdata Financial Services indicates that 90 percent believe their profitability is fair to good. They also believe that their business is growing or has remained stable. Of a sample of 300 SMEs, 25 percent had an annual turnover of over $500,000 and another 32 percent were between $100,000 and $499,999. More than two thirds of SMEs identified the economic environment as the external factor that has the strongest impact on their performance.
