Faces of the Middle East
Leading Dubai One news anchor Hermoine Macura (pictured above) launches photographic book 'Faces of the Middle East' in the UAE and an exclusive photographic exhibition at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding in Dubai.
Orginally from Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, the young news journalist and documentary maker unveiled her book at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature in Dubai last month, followed by an upcoming unique photographic exhibition, that will allow visitors to visualize and experience the various cultures and traditions from the UAE and across the region.
Faces of the Middle East is a personal and intimate journey told through a collection of images. With an in-depth understanding of the issues in the Middle East, Hermoine is passionate about the various ethnic and minority groups in the Arab World and their survival amidst adversity and globalization.
Hermoine's mesmerizing photography captures people's faces - telling stories of survival, hardship, displacement, loss, love and the common threat of humanity. Designed and published by UAE based, COVA group, 'Faces of the Middle East' explores unique locations, cities and places unknown to many.
