AACCI's Queensland Chapter was established in 1983, and has taken a prominent position as one of the leading organizations in the state promoting bilateral trade between Australia and the Middle East and North Africa. Chapter membership ranges across a variety of industry sectors, but is heavily driven by agribusiness and more recently by education—including training and professional services—but the core membership remains in manufacturing, trading and supply lines.
The Chapter has developed a strategic approach to working with other agencies including the State Government through Trade & Investment Queensland, and Federal agencies including Austrade and DFAT. This approach has also led to collaborative arrangements with Queensland city councils and universities.
