Associate Membership of AACCI Print E-mail

The Board of Directors of AACCI has decided to introduce a new Associate membership category. The new category of Associate member will be available from 1 July 2009.

The Board has decided that the fee for this new membership category will be initially set at $250.00. It will be proportionately increased when there is an increase in the standard membership fee.

The purpose behind the Board’s decision is to provide a category of membership for individuals or single operator enterprises who would hesitate in joining the Chamber at the full fee of $400.00.

Associate membership is open to individuals, including academics and other professionals, who have a legitimate interest in Australian-Arab trade and investment and cultural links, and who are not associated with a company that would otherwise have subscribed to the Chamber as an Ordinary member.

Genuine single operator enterprises are welcome to join AACCI as Associate members.

Rights and Privileges of Associate Membership

Associate members are not entitled to discounted documentation certification fees. If seeking certification services, Associate members would be required to pay the fee charged to non-members of $40 per set of documents.

Associate members are not entitled to vote at national level. Associate members are entitled to vote at Chapter level and are encouraged to seek election to Chapter management committees. But they would not be entitled to hold an office of Chair or Deputy Chair at the Chapter level, or a Chapter-elected Directorship on the AACCI Board.

Associate Members have access to the full range of Chapter-based services and activities organized for members, including access to the Members’ Website and to any special offers made available to members. They may attend members’ functions at discounted prices for members.

The Australia Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry reserves the right to withhold Associate membership from any applicant deemed not to qualify for this membership category.
