6 July Islamic Banking and Finance Symposium Print E-mail

La Trobe UniversityThe current global financial crisis together with the growing demand for shariah compliant products and services calls for an active response from industry as well as academia. Taking a step in this direction, we are pleased to announce a special symposium supporting the theme of ‘Islamic Banking and Finance and the Current Global Financial Crisis’.

This is a joint effort across industry-academia to discuss issues related to Islamic banking and finance including performance of Islamic banks and financial institutions in the current financial crisis. This symposium will also explore opportunities and challenges in the area of Islamic banking and finance, particularly in Australia.

The high profile line up of confirmed international and local speakers include:

Delegate fee
$100 (students will be charged a $75 concession fee). This includes all day access to the event, available Symposium papers, buffet lunch, optional tapas and refreshments, for registered delegates only). Fees do not include travel costs or accommodation.

Registration will commence at 8:00am through to 8:45am.
