More than 120 carefully selected earthen and mineral pigments of artist quality are being used to create the biggest range of lime paints available. The basis of the quality of BAUWERK Lime Paints is the use of matured, filtered hydrated rock lime, burned in a traditional kiln and blended with natural oils for a wipeable finish. BAUWERK Lime Paints are suitable for interior and exterior use, will not flake or peel, are free from toxins and will allow your walls to "breathe".
The durability of a true lime paint lies in two ingredients: lime and pigments. There is no substitute for proper rock lime, only rock lime will have the necessary carbonation abilities to fossilise with a masonry substrate. And only properly milled pigments will have the ability to be absorbed and bound by the calcium carbonate. Applied correctly, lime paints can last for great lengths of time. |
